BI Reports: Profitability Report
TapGoods PRO supports BI Reports, which enable you to monitor the activity happening in your account. One of the BI Reports available is the Profitability Report. This report allows you to conveniently keep track of the profitability of the Items in your TapGoods PRO account. This report exclusively shows data for Items. The Profitability Report is located in Custom Export.
**Note: All of the information on this report varies depending on the Financial Settings that you set up at the top of the page and the Date Range you select in the Filter.**
The Profitability Report can be found in Custom Export, which is located under Admin on the TapGoods PRO menu.
Once you have navigated to Custom Export, click on the dropdown menu and select Profitability Report.

In this Report, you can review data on how profitable your Items are. It's worth noting that the BI Report is set up to display data for all Recognized Revenue and Time by default, and that you must change the Financial Settings in the top right-hand side of the report to narrow down the results.

If you want to add a date range that data will be pulled from, you can do so by Filtering the BI Report.

When you land on this report, the KPI’s [Key Performance Indicators] on the left side of the Report will display an overall report of the Profitability of all of your Items across the board.
On the left side of the Report, you can review:
- Total Quantity Rented: The total number of Items rented for all time or during the time configured by the Filter.
- Total Wholesale Purchase Cost: The total cost of purchasing Items to rent. This tracks the Wholesale Cost added to Items during Item creation.
- Total Revenue Generated: The total Recognized Revenue generated by rented Items for all time or during the period configured by the Filter.
- Total Return of Investment: The total return on Items rented for all time or during the period configured by the filter.
- Top 5 Most Ordered Items: The top 5 Items that are most frequently rented from your business for all time or over the period configured in the Filter.
- Top 5 Most Profitable Items: Items that produce the most Recognized Revenue with the least Wholesale Purchase Costs for all time or over the period configured in the Filter.
- Item Rents Over Time: The total number of Items rented over time.
The table on the right side of the page lists all of the Items that are available for rental on your account along with their Wholesale Purchase Cost, Total Paid Rental Amount, and Return of Investment. Clicking on any Item on this list will change the KPIs on the left side of the page to reflect the data selected on the table.
