How To: Add Additional Taxes to TapGoods PRO
For some business owners, it is important to add Additional Taxes to qualifying Inventory. There are two ways to add Additional Taxes to TapGoods PRO:
- Utilize the Taxes tab in Inventory Settings to add Taxes to the system.
- Within the Edit Item page, add a New Tax to the platform in the Select Tax to Item pop-up.
It is important to note that if you add Inventory Taxes to Inventory in TapGoods PRO, the charges will automatically apply to any Order with the Inventory added.
Adding Additional Taxes in Inventory Settings
To add an Additional Tax to TapGoods PRO using Inventory Settings, follow the steps listed below.
- Hover over the Admin panel of the dashboard and click on Inventory Settings.
- Click on the Taxes tab of the Inventory Settings page.
- Click Add New Tax.
- Name the Tax.
- Click the dropdown arrow and select Dollar ($) OR Percentage (%).
- Add the Dollar Amount OR the Percentage.
- Click Submit.
Once you have added Additional Taxes to the platform, you can add them to Items while on the Edit Item page.
Adding Additional Taxes While Editing an Item
If you add any New Additional Taxes while creating/editing an item, they will populate in Inventory Settings.
To add a New Additional Tax on the Edit Item page, follow the steps listed below.
- Navigate to the desired Item.
- Click the Pencil icon to edit the Item.
- In Timing and Numbers, click Add Tax.
- In Select Tax, click on Add Tax.
- Name the Tax.
- Click the dropdown arrow and select Dollar ($) OR Percentage (%).
- Input the Dollar Amount OR Percentage.
- Click Submit.
Once you have added a New Additional Tax to the platform within the Edit Item page, it will populate in the Item’s Taxes and Exemptions field and in Inventory Settings.
