Print Slips: How to Print

How to Access Print Slips

1. Open any order in TapGoods PRO

2. Click the Pick List tab

3. Click the Print Slips button (top right of the Pick List)

4. The Print Slips modal appears

What the Modal Contains

The Print Slips modal has two inputs:

Field	What It Does
How many slips?	Sets the total number of slips (and the denominator). E.g., entering 3 prints slips labeled 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3.
Print method	Choose how the slips are printed (see options below).

Print Method Options

There are three ways to print slips. Choose based on your printer setup.

Option	Best For	Notes
Standard (browser)	Most users — start here	Opens a new browser tab. Print with Ctrl+P / Cmd+P. Works with any printer.
Download ZPL File	Zebra printer users	Downloads a .zpl file. Send manually to your Zebra printer for precise label output.
Send to Zebra Printer	Warehouse / high-volume ops	Sends directly to printer via IP address. Fastest option. Requires HTTPS-capable Zebra printer (Link-OS models).

✅ Start with Standard (browser) if you're unsure. No setup required — works with any printer.

Option 1: Standard (Browser Print)

Best for: Most users, teams getting started, paper or label sheet printing.

5. Click Print Slips on the Pick List tab

6. Enter the number of slips needed

7. Select Standard printout (browser)

8. Click Print

9. A new browser tab opens with your slips

10. Press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac)

11. Select your printer and adjust paper size if needed

12. Print

⚠️ If nothing opens after clicking Print, your browser blocked a popup. Allow popups for TapGoods and try again.

Option 2: Download ZPL File

Best for: Zebra printer users who want precise label formatting, especially for barcodes.

13. Select Download ZPL file (Zebra printer)

14. Click Print

15. The .zpl file downloads to your computer

16. Send the file to your Zebra printer using your normal Zebra workflow

💡 ZPL produces the most accurate label output for Zebra printers. Recommended for high-volume warehouse operations.

Option 3: Send to Zebra Printer (Direct)

Best for: Warehouse environments with a Zebra printer on the local network.

17. Select Send to Zebra printer (local network)

18. Enter your printer's IP address

19. Click Print

Requirements:

• Printer must support HTTPS (Link-OS models only)

• Printer must be on the same network as your computer

Troubleshooting

Issue	Fix
Nothing happens when clicking Print	Browser blocked the popup. Allow popups for TapGoods and try again.
Labels don't fit correctly	Check paper/label size in printer settings. Match label dimensions before printing.
Zebra printer not printing correctly	Confirm printer is set to ZPL mode. Try Download ZPL instead of Send to Printer.
"Failed to send print job" error	Check printer IP address, confirm same network, and verify HTTPS is enabled on the printer.
