Configuring Your Shop with Redirect Domains
Once you install the WordPress Plugin and connect it to TapGoods PRO using your API key, the next crucial step is to connect the plugin to your shop by setting up a Redirect Domain. Redirect domains are essential because they specify where your website can safely send and receive data.
By configuring redirect domains, you ensure that when customers perform actions, such as adding items to their shopping cart, these actions are communicated correctly between your WordPress site and TapGoods PRO. This setup prevents data transmission errors, ensuring that orders are processed smoothly and securely.
How to Connect Your Shop to WordPress Using Redirect Domains
To connect your Shop with WordPress, you will need to set up Redirect Domains in both Admin > Storefront > WordPress Plugin AND Admin > Storefront > Shop + Cart.
Here’s how:
- Log into your TapGoods PRO account and navigate to Admin > Storefront > WordPress Plugin.
- On the WordPress Plugin page, click the + icon and paste your Shop link here.
- Click Submit.
- Now, navigate to Admin > Storefront > Shop + Cart.
- Under Catalog URL, paste the Shop link there as well.
- Enable Make Page Visible.
- Click Update Live.
This approach keeps communications safe and reliable, which is crucial for handling sensitive data like inventory and orders in your Shop.
