Custom Export: The Inventory Tab
In Custom Export, you can quickly and easily export data related to Inventory in your TapGoods PRO account. This functionality can be found under the Inventory tab of Custom Export. This article will cover the following concepts:

Where is the Inventory Tab of Custom Export located?
To navigate to Custom Export, hover over Admin on the menu of TapGoods PRO and, in Reports, click on Custom Export.
In Custom Export, click on the Inventory tab.
How Data is Organized on the Custom Export
The Data shown on the Inventory Custom Export are available in the Data Shown On Report section of the page. In this section, you can select data points in the order you want them to appear on the report.
For example, if you select Name, Color, and then Daily Price, they will appear in that order on the report.
Filters for Custom Inventory Export
Filters for this report are available on the right-hand side of the page, under Filter Data. Any options selected in this field will narrow down the information in the data points that you selected. For example, if you select Items under Inventory Type, then only data for Items will be pulled and shown on the report.
The following Filters are available for use in this report:
- Dates: This filter narrows the information pulled to any actions that happened to items during the date range.
- Location: Selecting a specific location narrows the items on the report down to the inventory in the selected locations.
- Category: Selecting categories narrows the information on the report to inventory that belongs to specific categories.
- Department: Selecting departments narrows the information on the report to inventory that belongs to specific departments.
- Inventory Type: This allows you to select specific types of Inventory that will populate the report.
- Pricing: Filters the types of prices that show up on the report.
- Usage: Filters for Items that have Usages applied.
- Taxes: Filters for Inventory that have specific taxes assigned.
How to Export Inventory Custom Export
To export a report on this page, follow the steps listed below:
- In Data Shown on Report, enable the checkbox(es) next to the data points you want to see on the report in the order that you want them to appear.
- In Filter Data, check the box(es) next to the Filters you want to apply to the report.
- Click Export.
When you click Export, you will receive an alert indicating that an Export is in Progress. Click Ok, and allow the export to run. When it is finished, you will receive a notification that your Export was successful. From this alert, click Download Export File to download the Excel file to your PC.
