TapGoods WordPress Plugin for Multilocation Businesses
If you are a Multilocation business, you will need to take a few extra steps to set up your WordPress Plugin so that it allows customers to shop from all of your Locations. In this article, the following topics will be covered:

Selecting a Default Location for Your WordPress Site’s Shop
For the WordPress Plugin to work as intended, all Multilocation Businesses must select a Default Location for the Shop. This is the location that the site will default to in the shop. Later, You can add Location Dropdowns to your site to allow customers to select which location they want to shop from.
To select a Default Location, follow the steps listed below:
- Log into your WordPress Site.
- Navigate to the TapGoods WordPress Plugin.
- Click on the Multilocation tab.
- Next to “Select Default Location,” click on the dropdown menu and click on the location you want to select.
- Click Set as Default to save your changes.
How to View Which Location Inventory is Located in On WordPress
If you have inventory split across locations, you can view which location each item belongs to in the Items tab of WordPress.
Using Shortcodes to Install a Location Selection Dropdown
Once you’ve selected a Default Location, you can use Shortcodes to add a Location Dropdown to any Page in WordPress. The Shortcodes are located underneath the TapGoods Plugin in WordPress.
On the Shortcodes page, you can copy and use a list of Shortcodes to customize your site. The shortcode that adds a Location Dropdown is called “Location Selection”.
We recommend placing this shortcode on your WordPress site's Shop page, but it can be added to any Page. This is how it will look:
