Order Settings: Overbooking on Storefront

In TapGoods PRO, users can allow Overbooking on Storefront when Customers create Orders. This is useful for users who utilize overbooking within TapGoods and would like Customers to be able to book Inventory even if it creates an Overbooked Item in the system.
To set up Overbooking on Storefront, navigate to Order Settings, located underneath Admin on the dashboard.
On the Order Settings page, Overbooking on Storefront is located near the top of the page, underneath Autobook. To customize this setting, click the dropdown arrow next to Overbooking on Storefront.
To customize your Overbooking on Storefront setting, click on the dropdown arrow next to the setting. Then, click on the Pencil icon to edit it.
TapGoods PRO tracks inventory so that business owners can avoid Overbooked Items and quickly resolve conflicts. Overbooking on Storefront gives users the flexibility to decide whether Overbooking should be manual or automated. TapGoods PRO users are offered three options:
- Allow Overbooking on All Items: This option allows Customers to reserve any Inventory, even if it will result in an Overbooked Item on TapGoods PRO.
- Not Allow Overbooking on All Items: This option will block Customers from creating an Order with Inventory that is not available.
- Manually allow Overbooking on Individual Items: This option will allow users to enable a toggle on individual Items that will allow Customers to request Inventory even if it is not available; any Orders that contain Overbooked Items with this toggle enabled will come to your business as a Lead [Pending Order].
If this toggle is enabled, Customers will receive an alert on Storefront that they can add the Inventory to a Quote, but that the business will review their Order and approve it.
