How To: Use Department Rates for Pricing on Items in TapGoods PRO
To use Department Rates for Price calculations on Orders, you must turn on the Department Rate for individual Items. Department Rates can be enabled for Items during Item creation or by editing an existing Item’s default Pricing. It is important to note that in order for Department Rates to apply to an Item, the Item must be added to the corresponding Department. If the Item is not added to a Department, you will not be able to enable a Department Rate.
To enable a Department Rate on an existing Item, follow the steps listed below.
- Navigate to an existing Item.
- On the Item Details page, click the Pencil icon.
- Under Timing & Numbers, click on Add Pricing.
- In the slide-out, enable the toggle next to Use [Department] Rate Calculations.
- Click Submit.
When you enable the Department Rate Calculations toggle, the default Pricing of the Item will automatically change to Time-Based and the preset rates set up in Inventory Settings will populate. Once you save the edits to the Item, Orders with the Item added will calculate the price of the Item based on the Department Rates.
