Adding Trucks to TapGoods PRO
On the Trucks page of Routing Settings, users can add new trucks to the platform and customize those that have already been added. To utilize trucks for Routing purposes in TapGoods PRO, users MUST add trucks to the platform in Routing Settings prior to trying to assign trucks to Delivery Routes.
To add trucks to TapGoods PRO, navigate to Routing Settings under Admin.
On the Trucks page of Routing Settings, users can customize trucks that have already been added to TapGoods PRO and add new trucks. To edit an already existing truck, click the Pencil icon next to the desired truck. To add a new truck, click Add Truck.
When creating a new truck in TapGoods PRO, users will give the truck an identifier (i.e. Truck E) and optionally give the truck a Truck Name/Identifier. To change the truck’s identifier, click the dropdown arrow and select the desired identifier. Users can also add details to the truck using the text box.
Additionally, users can change the color of trucks so that routes are easier to identify and track on maps. To select a color for a truck, click on the paint bucket icon and select the desired color using the color slider.
The color of the truck will also serve as the color of the truck’s route when delivering rentals to Customers. With this feature, users can easily distinguish between routes on the Map.
On the Trucks page, users can set a Default Setup/Breakdown Time. This time will be accounted for between deliveries.
