How To: Move Items to Maintenance in TapGoods PRO
When an Item is damaged or needs to be worked on for any reason, TapGoods PRO allows you to track Items in Maintenance on the Maintenance page. When you move Items to Maintenance, they are removed from Available Inventory and cannot be rented out to Customers.
There are several ways to move Items to Maintenance in TapGoods PRO:
Item Details Page: Standard Items
To add a Standard Item to Maintenance using the Item Details page, follow the steps below.
- Hover over Inventory on the TapGoods PRO Menu.
- Click Items.
- On the Items page, click on an Item.
- In Item Details, click Add Items to Maintenance.
- Input the Quantity to move to Maintenance.
- [Optional] Add Notes.
- Click Submit And Update Inventory.
Item Details Page: Serialized Items
- In Item Details, click Add Items to Maintenance.
- Input a Serial Number and Quantity.
- [Optional] Add Notes.
- Click Submit And Update Rental Inventory.
During the Checking-in Process
If an Item is damaged during the rental process, you can add the Item to Maintenance while checking Items in. To add an Item to Maintenance during the Checking In process, follow the steps below.
- Input the quantity of the Item that returned undamaged.
- Click Update.
- When an orange Alert appears, click on it.
- Next to Damaged, input the quantity of the Item that returned damaged.
- [Optional] Add a Note.
- [Optional] Add a Damaged/Missing Fee to the Order.
- Click Submit And Update Rentable Inventory.
Once you click submit, the Items that returned damaged will be sent to Maintenance, and you can fully Check In the Order with all Inventory accounted for.
