How To: Apply Bulk Actions to Serial Numbers in TapGoods PRO
Serialized Inventory in TapGoods PRO allows users to create a Serial Number for each unit of an Item Record. When you create a Serialized Item, the platform will generate randomized Serial Numbers for each unit.
To review the Serial Numbers generated for each unit, follow the steps listed below.

Navigate to the Items page under Inventory on the TapGoods PRO menu.

Click on a Serialized Item.

On the Item’s page, click on Serialized.
One unique feature of the Serialized page of an Item Record is the ability to apply bulk actions to the units on the page. You can apply two bulk actions to the units of a Serialized Item.

Delete/Archive All: On the Serialized tab of an Item Record, you can utilize the Delete/ArchiveAll button to apply bulk actions to all units on the page. Simply clicking this button will prompt you to confirm that you would like to Delete or Archive all Serial Numbers associated with units on the page. If this is your desired action, select Delete or Archive and click Submit. This will delete or archive all Serial Numbers on the page.
- Generate Serial Numbers: Generates randomized Serial Numbers for all units that do not already have one.
How To: Delete/Archive Groups of Serial Numbers on the Item Page
If you want to Delete/Archive groups of Serial Numbers associated with units on the page, follow the steps listed below.
- Check the box next to each Serial Number you want to Delete/Archive.

Click Delete/Archive All.

Select one of the following options…
-Delete: Selecting this option will permanently delete Serial Numbers associated with the units.
-Archive: Selecting this option will remove the current Serial Numbers from Active Serial Numbers and move them to the Archived tab of the page. -
Click Submit.
Once you have deleted Serial Numbers, they cannot be recovered. Archived Serial Numbers are removed from Active Serial Numbers; these Serial Numbers can be recovered at any time
How To: Generate Serial Numbers for Units of Serialized Items
When a Serialized Item is created in TapGoods PRO, Serial Numbers are auto generated for each unit in the Item Record. When Serial Numbers are deleted in bulk, you can generate a new Serial Number for each unit that is missing one.
It is important to note that units that do not have a Serial Number assigned will not populate in Active Serial Numbers. This means that you can have 15 units of a Serialized Item, but only 11 Active Serial Numbers. To generate Serial Numbers for the four units not listed, click Generate Serial Numbers. This will generate Serial Numbers for the four missing units and there will be 15 Active Serial Numbers available for review.
It is important to note that clicking Generate Serial Numbers will not impact units that already have a Serial Number assigned. If all of the units of a Serialized Item already have Serial Numbers assigned, clicking Generate Serial Numbers will not impact any units.
