How To: Add a Company to a Customer
In Customer Details, you can add a Company to a Customer. This will connect the Company and Customer, which means that when an Order is created for one, the other will automatically be associated with the Order as well. To add a Company to a Customer, navigate to the Customers page, which is located under Contacts on the TapGoods PRO dashboard.
Click on the Customer to navigate to Customer Details.
Once you are in Customer Details, you can add a Company to the Customer by following the steps listed below.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Companies.
- Click Add Company(s) to Customer.
3. Click on a Company or click Add New Company.
**Note: Clicking Add New Company will take you to the New Company page, where you can add a new Company to TapGoods PRO. Once you create a new Company, you will have to navigate back to the Customer to add the Company to the Customer.**
Once a Company has been added to a Customer, the Company will auto-populate in the Order with the Customer. It is important to note that even if a Customer is associated with multiple Companies, the first Company added to the Customer will auto-populate in the Order.
While the Company will auto-populate with the Customer it is associated with, you can remove the Company on the Order by clicking the X icon next to it. Once the Company has been removed, click Select a Company to select a new Company from the list of Companies.
