How To: Add Notes to Customer Details
In Customer Details, you can add Notes to Customers. Adding Notes to Customers will serve as documentation within TapGoods PRO. Notes in Customer Details can be viewed on the Customers’ pages at any time, and these Notes are a form of organization within the platform. Additionally, Customer Notes will populate on Orders that the Customer is added to.
To add Notes to a Customer, navigate to the Customers page, which is located under Contacts on the TapGoods PRO dashboard.
Click on the Customer to navigate to Customer Details.
Once you have navigated to Customer Details, you can add Notes by following the steps listed below.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Notes.
- Click Add Note.
- Type the note into the text box.
- Click Add Note.
Once you have added a Note, it will populate in the Notes field and you will be able to edit it at any time. To edit a Note, click the Pencil icon next to it.
To delete a Note, click the X icon.
Once you have added Notes to a Customer, the Note will automatically populate in Orders that the Customer is added to.
Within an Order, you can edit or delete an auto-populated Note in the Notes field. Notes that are auto-populated will automatically default to Hidden from Customer and Hidden from Operations. To change who can view the Note, click the Pencil icon and edit Visibility by checking the box next to Visible to Customer or Visible to Operations.
Changing a Note within an individual Order will not impact the Note set up in Customer Details.
