What is a browser refresh?
Refresh is a command that reloads the contents of a window or Web page with the most current data.
When do I need to do a refresh?
TapGoods is constantly working to improve our platform. In doing so, we may make changes, updates, or launch new features. Performing a refresh will reload TapGoods with the new and improved data. We recommend doing a refresh every couple of weeks unless we notify you otherwise.
How do I refresh on a Desktop?
Chrome on Windows:
To hard refresh on Google Chrome on Windows, there are two ways you can do it:
- Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
- Or Hold down Ctrl and press F5.
Chrome on Mac:
To do a hard refresh on Google Chrome on Mac, there are two ways that you can do it:
- Hold down Shift and click the Reload button.
- Or Hold down Command, Shift and click the ‘R’ key.
Firefox on Windows:
To hard refresh on Firefox on Windows, there are also two easy hotkey commands you can use:
- Hold down Ctrl, Shift and the ‘R’ key.
- Or Hold down Ctrl and press F5.
Firefox on Mac:
To hard refresh on Firefox on Mac, there are also two easy key combinations that you can use:
- Hold down Command, Shift and the ‘R’ key.
- Or Hold down Shift and press the reload button.
Internet Explorer on Windows:
To hard refresh Internet Explorer, there is one simple way to do it:
- Hold the Control key, press the F5 key.
- Or, hold the Control key, click the Refresh button.
Safari on Mac:
To hard refresh safari, there is one simple way to do it:
- Hold down the option and command key then press the ‘E’ key.
How do I refresh on a Mobile?
This can be tricky on a mobile device because you cannot simply press Cmd + Shift + R (or Alt + Shift + R, if you’re on PC). We’ve compiled a list of the most common devices and browsers, with hard refresh directions specific to each one:
Chrome on Android:
In Chrome, tap the menu button in the upper right hand (three vertical dots) and select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.

Scroll down and tap “Privacy”.

Scroll down and tap “Clear Browsing Data”.

Tap “Clear Data”.

Safari on iPhone/iPad:
Tap the cogwheel icon labeled “Settings”.

Scroll down and tap “Safari”.

Tap “Clear History and Website Data”.

Confirm “Clear History and Website Data”.
