Editing Accessories in TapGoods PRO
Once you have added Accessories to TapGoods PRO, you can add detailed information to the Accessory. The information necessary to create an Accessory in TapGoods PRO are the Name and Quantity of the Accessory. Although the requirements to create an Accessory are minimal, you can add as many details as needed to the Accessory that will help your internal team understand all aspects of the product. It is important to note that Accessories are not Customer facing, so all details added to Accessories are for internal use.
Accessories are located under the Inventory panel of the TapGoods PRO menu.
Once you have selected an Accessory from the Accessories page, click the Pencil icon to edit it.
In Edit Accessory, you can edit three sections:
- Images & Specs
- Details
- Timing & Numbers
Once you have edited each section to your preference, click Submit to save the changes to the Accessory. Read below for details of each section available while editing your Accessories.
Images and Specs
TapGoods PRO users can customize images, colors, and materials that are associated with Accessories in their inventory. The following options are provided to users who want to create a comprehensive and detailed inventory…
- Images: Click on the Plus icons to add images to your Accessory. You can add up to four images to an Accessory.
- Colors: This field allows users to provide customers with color options for an Accessory. You can add multiple colors to an Accessory by clicking on each color that you would like to add. Colors that have already been added will display a checkmark. In TapGoods PRO, you can add Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, White, Brown, Black, Grey, Silver, Gold, and Transparent as colors on your Inventory.
- Materials: If an Accessory is made of a variation of materials, add those details to this field [i.e. cotton, satin, etc.]
- Dimensions: Using this field, users can provide customers with measurements of the accessory (i.e. height, width, and weight).
- Accessory Notes: If there are any details that must be noted about the accessory that should not be included in the description, TapGoods PRO users can add those details in the Accessory Notes by filling in the text field provided. If you want a Note to appear on a rental, click the checkbox next to Include in Rentals. This will make the note visible to Customers. If you leave this box unchecked, the note will only appear on internal documentation.
Details
Accessory Details are important to provide for internal employees who need information on a particular Accessory. Filling out the Accessory Details section of the Edit Accessory page will provide essential details such as…
- Name: In this field, give each Accessory a unique name.
- Description: TapGoods users should use this section to provide a detailed description of the Accessory.
- Tags: TapGoods PRO users can add tags to Accessories that make them easier to categorize. Tags in TapGoods PRO are organized within Categories, and adding a Tag to an Accessory will automatically connect it to that category.
- Departments: If an Accessory belongs to a particular department within the user’s company, it will populate under the Department when Reports are pulled.
- Warehouse Location: TapGoods PRO users can add a warehouse location for Accessories that are located in different Warehouses. Notes can be added to the Warehouse as well for internal workers who need details on the Accessory!
Timing & Numbers

- Quantity: Users will use this section to add the amount of each Accessory that is available to the inventory count.
- Buffer %: To set a percentage of the Accessory that is unavailable at all times.
- Costs: If there are any wholesale costs associated with the Accessory, it should be inputted into this section.
