Notes in TapGoods PRO are a robust feature that allow users to add annotations to various sections of the platform. Depending on where you add Notes impacts how they are shown to your Operations Team and Customers.

Notes can be added to various areas of the platform.

| Visibility Settings |
The visibility of Notes on Items, Purchases, Accessories, and Bundles depends on how you configure the default settings on each one.
Notes added to Inventory will automatically populate on Orders that they are added to, and will follow the visibility rules that you created on this page [Example: If you enable Visible to Customer while editing an Itsm, then this setting will also be automatically be enabled on the Order]. |

| Description | Notes can be added to the Order from the Notes section of the Details tab. |
| Visibility Settings |
This section of the Order is impacted by the default Note Visibility Settings in Order Settings. These Notes can be hidden from your internal team (Operations) and/or from Customers. You can choose to display the notes either at the top or bottom of the invoice.
If a Note is added and neither box is checked, then the Note will only be visible on Order Details for users who have access to create/edit Orders. |

| Description | During Order Creation, you can add/change Notes on Items, Purchases, Accessories, Bundles, and Recurring Services. |
| Visibility Settings |
Inventory: Notes that were added to Inventory during creation will automatically populate. You can change the visibility of these Notes by enabling/disabling “Visible to Customer”. These are ALWAYS visible to Operations unless you disable Notes on the Picklist. Recurring Services: Notes can be added to Recurring Services for your internal teams to review. These Notes will appear on the Services tab of an Order. |

| Description | When you create a Customer, Company, or Venue, you can add Notes to each one from within the contact details pages. |
| Visibility Settings | Notes that you add to Contacts will automatically populate in the Notes section of the Details tab on the Order Form. The visibility of these Notes to Customers and your Operations Team depend on the Note Visibility Settings configured in Order Settings OR whether you enable/disable Visible to Customers and Visible to Operations. |

FAQ’s
Q: Do operations notes appear on picklist printouts?
Yes! If you enable "Visible to Operations" while creating a note on an order, then the notes will appear at the top of the Picklist along with any other inventory notes that you have enabled.
Q: Why aren’t my Inventory Notes showing up on the Picklist?
A: When you look at your Picklist from the Order, make sure that the Show Notes toggle is enabled. If the toggle is disabled for any reason, inventory notes will not show up.
Q: I have “Visible to Customer” enabled in Order Settings. Can I change it on individual Orders?
A: Yes! Simply edit the Order, navigate to the Notes field of Details, and edit the Note. Then, you can enable or disable Visible to Customer or Visible to Operations with the checkbox!
