How To: Add Customers to Companies in TapGoods PRO
In Company Details, you can add a Customer to a Company. This will connect the Company and Customer, which means that when an Order is created for one, the other will automatically be associated with the Order as well.
To add a Customer to a Company, navigate to the Companies page, which is located under Contacts on the TapGoods PRO dashboard.
Click on the Company to navigate to Company Details.
Once you are in Company Details, you can add a Customer to the Company by following the steps listed below.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Customers.
- Click Add Customer(s) to Company.
- Click on a Customer or click Add New Customer.
**Note: Clicking Add New Customer will take you to the New Customer page, where you can add a new Customer to TapGoods PRO. Once you create a new Customer, you will have to navigate back to the Company to add the Customer to the Company.**
Once a Customer has been added to a Company, the Customer will auto-populate in the Order when the Company is added. It is important to note that if a Company has multiple Customers assigned to it, you will get a pop-up prompting you to select which Customers will receive email notifications about the Order.
While Customer(s) will auto-populate with the Company they are assigned to, you can remove the Customer(s) on the Order by clicking the X icon next to them. Once a Customer has been removed, click Select Customer(s) to select a new Customer.
