How To: Add Commissioned Customers to TapGoods PRO
In TapGoods PRO, users can add Commissioned Customers to an Order. In TapGoods PRO, Commissioned Customers are Customers that can be added to an Order as a notation that they should receive a portion of payment from the Order.
While you will add Commissioned Customers to Orders within the Order Form, they must first be added to the software within Company Details. To add a Commissioned Customer to a Company, navigate to the Companies page located under Contacts on the platform dashboard.
Click on the Company to navigate to the Company Details page.
Once you have navigated to Company Details, you can add Customer Commission to the Company. To add a Customer Commission to the Company, follow the steps listed below.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Customer Commission.
- Click Add Commissioned Customer(s) to Company.
- In Add Commissioned Customer, fill out the Customer’s information.
- Click Submit.
**Note: Address is optional to notate for Commissioned Customers, but it is recommended to include this information!**
Once you have added a Commissioned Customer to the Company, you can add Documentation to the Customer. To add Documentation to a Commissioned Customer, follow the steps listed below.
- Click on Add Document(s) for [Customer].
- Upload a .DOC or .PDF file.
- Name the Document.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Select Document Type and select a Document Type.
- [Optional] Add an Expiration Date.
**Note: Adding an Expiration Date to a document indicates that there is a time frame in which the document will no longer be valid, such as insurance documentation. When a document is getting close to its Expiration Date, it will populate in To Do’s > Expiring Documents with an orange alert.**
- Click Save.
Documents attached to Commissioned Customers serve as internal Documentation that lives in Company Details.
When Commissioned Customers are added to Customers, you will select a Commissioned Customer once the Company is added to an Order.
It is important to note that adding Commissioned Customers serves as a form of Documentation in TapGoods PRO and is not formally tracked in the platform. Once you have added a Commissioned Customer to the Order, it will populate in the Commissioned Customer field of the Order Form.
