Routing Done Better: Routing Update to TapGoods PRO [June 30, 2023]
TapGoods just released a significant update to the Routing feature in TapGoods PRO, aimed at increasing the efficiency of your rental operations and ensuring a seamless user experience. As part of this release, we have completely redesigned the layout of the Routing tab in TapGoods PRO, enhancing its functionality and usability.
While the update brings a new look and feel to the Routing tab, it's important to note that all the existing features and capabilities remain fully intact. You can continue to utilize the familiar functionalities and workflows that you rely on for your business operations.
In this article, we will cover the before and after of the following enhancements:
- Consolidation of the Trucks and Routing Map tabs
- Layout changes to the Orders tab
- Seamless Truck assignment
- Multi-Day List View of Routes & Orders
Consolidation of Trucks and Routing Map Tabs
Today, we have merged the Trucks and Routing Map tabs, centralizing truck-related information and route assignments. Prior to the update, Trucks and Routing existed on two different tabs, and assigning Trucks was a multi-tab affair. Now, users can conveniently review and assign trucks all within the Routing Map, eliminating the need for tab switching.
This consolidation enhances workflow efficiency by simplifying Truck management and Route assignment processes.
Layout Changes to the Orders Tab
Prior to this update, the Orders tab displayed Orders taking place on any given day in sections dedicated to specific Trucks and Orders that were not yet assigned to Trucks. While this tab looks slightly different in our recent update, the original functionality remains intact. Now, Orders needing Delivery scheduled are displayed as expandable list items, allowing you to quickly access essential details associated with each route by clicking the dropdown arrow next to the Order.
This optimized layout enhances navigation and readability, enabling users to efficiently analyze and track route-related information.
Seamless Truck Assignment
Our recent update has enhanced the Routing feature to make assigning Trucks to Routes even easier than before. Now, you can quickly assign Trucks to Routes on any given day, or in a designated time frame, directly from the list of Routes on the Routing Map.
This streamlined truck assignment process minimizes complexity and enhances productivity, ensuring accurate and efficient route-to-truck assignments.
You may notice two new icons on the Routing Map:
- Arrow icon: Clicking on this icon will open the side drawer where you can assign Trucks and Delivery Team Members.
- Check icon: Clicking on this icon will cross out the route. You can use this to help document which Routes have been completed.
Consolidated List for Reviewing Routes
Today, we are introducing a consolidated list view of routes that enables you to review routes spanning multiple days. Prior to this update, the Routing tab only permitted users to review Route lists one day at a time. Now, you can view a 1 Day, 3 Day, 7 Day, or 10 Day list of Routes and Orders on the Routing Map and Orders tabs!
When you take advantage of this enhancement, you can now assign Trucks to Routes taking place over the span of multiple days.
